In response to Council questions <br />regarLg the proposed siting for the two sirens, staff has reviewed the suing ot the suens and has <br />changed the location of the sirens to the northeast comer of Bederwood Park on Stubbs Bay Road <br />and the southeast comer of French Creek Preserve near the Metro sewer lift station. <br />The City Code requires a conditional use permit for public service structures. To excite the timing <br />of the installation of the sirens, staff requests the Council waive review of the CUP by the Planning <br />Commission and hold the public hearing at the August 24 Council meeting. <br />As staff prepared for the installation of the two sirens, property owners in the vicimty of the <br />proposedLn locations were notified of the City's plans. The City has not received any response <br />to that notification. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Motion to waive the Planning Commission review of the conditional use ^™itfor the <br />of two civil defense sirens, and to schedule the public hearing on the CUP for 7:00 p.m. on Monday. <br />August 24.
