flUG-06-98 THU 10:36 AH FOX NO.P. 0 <br />A A AUG 1 0 1098August 6,1998 <br />City C; <br />Mayor Jabbour and Member.^ of tlie City Council: <br />I am writing about the proposal for 2695 Kelly Avenue that will be discussed at the Citv <br />Counci 1 meeting on August 10. ^ <br />My family i.s opposed and has a number of concerns: <br />• There are safety issues with the proposed driveway using the gated gravel beach <br />^ ^ ^ *• all long. Neighborhood <br />children and neighborhood residents regularly use it to get to the Lydiard^Bcach area. <br />Cars entering and leaving the driveway and path as proposed will surely impact users. <br />• I leel this j.yoposaJ will b^ically take away the beach from the neighborhood. The <br />added tratllc and congestion will affect the appeal of this lovely area that families <br />regularly use and greatly enjoy. It compromises tlic integrity of a public area. <br />I have attended two previous meetings regarding this property. Each time a diagram of <br />this site that was used in discussions with the Planning Commission and City Council did <br />not look like the land as it has been for the Jlvc years we have resided in the <br />neighborhood. Water levels have eroded the area of hard cover on an already small lot.
