MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO CITY COUNCILMEETING HELD ON <br />DECEMBER 8,1997 ^ <br />Van Zomeren referenced the plans for the Class III Subdivision and PRD. The propei <br />is located on CoRd 15. Van Zomeren reviewed the discussions held on the application <br />at two Planning Commission meetings. The Planning Commission reconunended <br />approval of the preliminary plat. Van Zomeren indicated that before final plat approval, <br />the issue of a water loop or sprinkler system needs to be decided. Van Zomeren <br />reviewed the concerns and resolution draft. <br />Van Zomeren said the property is heavily wooded. The applicant has attempted to <br />maximize tree preservation. Access will be from Livingston Avenue with a private <br />driveway to access tlie townhomes to the south. A hammerhead will be added for a <br />turnaround for cars and emergency vehicles. She noted that the property underneath the <br />townhomes will be privately owned and the other areas will be left in common <br />ownership. <br />Van Zomeren reviewed the conditions of the resolution. Under #16, Van Zomeren said <br />the landscape plan will be done prior to final plat approval and will need to be changed <br />if Council agrees. <br />Jabbour asked if there was any hazardous materials found on the property. Van <br />Zomeren said she is not sure what is there noting the property is a 10 acre site.
