(.80 acres) <br />Building <br />Size:6,720 sq. ft. <br />Required Parking:6,720-500=6,200 <br />6,200/500=12.44 <br />Twelve (12) parking spaces are required. <br />Application: <br />The applicant, Mr. John Chenoweth, is interested in purchasing the building at 3850 Shoreline <br />Drive which is currently owned and operated by Mr. Steve Katainen as "Bay Furniture". Mr. <br />Katainen has operated the business at this location since November 1987. The property is zoned <br />B5, Limited Neighborhood Business District. A furniture store is not listed in the B5 district as <br />either a permitted or conditional use. In April 1986, the City Council determined that the <br />proposed furniture store was compatible with the other uses in the zoning district and would <br />operate substantially similar to a "gallery". In October 1986, the City Council approved the <br />commercial site plan for the furniture store. <br />Mr. Chenow'eth is asking for the same consideration that was granted in 1986, noting that his <br />proposed business is to continue to sell furniture and add home accessories such as lamps,
