City of Long Lake Police Services Agreement Update <br />In response to this request staff prepared the attached memo titled Police Services Cost Allocation <br />dated December 9,1997. The purposes of the memo were as follows: <br />1. <br />2. <br />To provide background regarding cost allocation for cooperative service provision. <br />To show that all cities are substantially benefitting from the current police services <br />arrangement. <br />3. To show that the current overall allocation of costs is relatively reasonable and fair. <br />4. To compare a number of alternative cost allocation formulas/factors. <br />5.To show that any cost allocation method needs to take into account die specific needs <br />and desires of the individual cities for police services. <br />i
