r <br />Preliminary Report City of Plymouth <br />Luce Line trail. The City of Wayzata would be responsible for any construction costs if the <br />walkway is constructed south of the Luce Line trail. <br />Assessments <br />It is anticipated that the City of Orono will not assess any residents for the project. The City of <br />Plymouth will assess the residents that have direct access onto Femdale Road. Any assessments <br />will be in accordance with current City policy. <br />State Aid Participation <br />We have estimated that 100% the street, 80% of the storm sewer and 100% of the walkway costs <br />would be eligible for State Aid reimbursement. This cost estimate does not include easement <br />acquisition costs. Although a portion of the easement acquisition costs would be eligible for State <br />Aid reimbursement, the administration and a portion of the legal costs are not. <br />The following is a summary of the estimated project costs for each City: <br />Orono Plymouth Total <br />Street $657,846 $432,709 $1,090,555 <br />Storm Sewer 130,631 61,134 191,765 <br />Walkway •0 77,742 77,742 <br />Total $788,477 $571,585 <br />$1,360,062 <br />CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS <br />The street, storm sewer and walkway improvements presented in this report are desirable and <br />feasible as related to costs and construction. The project is in accordance with the City Municipal <br />State Aid Street Plan. Based on information contained in this report, the following <br />recommendations are presented for consideration by the City Council: <br />That this report be adopted by the City of Plymouth and the City of Orono as a guide for <br />construction of the proposed improvements. <br />That the Cities conduct a legal and fiscal review of the proposed project. <br />That an informational meeting be scheduled to receive input from the abutting property owners <br />and determine further action to be taken, llie property owners adjacent to the roadway should <br />be notified. <br />70303ipt <br />I <br />‘■•l - <br />I <br />J
