RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND <br />SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING <br />ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS <br />teen <br />VO, <br />:lley <br />ning <br />such <br />ntto <br />Dtice <br />each <br />ment <br />ite of <br />from <br />merit <br />Such <br />jding <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to resolution numbers 4028 and 4049 passed by the Council on February 9, <br />1998 and March 23,1998, the City Engineer (consulting engineer retained for the purpose) has prepared plans <br />and specifications for the Edgewood Hills and Shoreline/Heriatge Sanitary Sewer improvement project and <br />has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for approval. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ORONO, <br />MINNESOTA: <br />1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are <br />hereby approved. <br />2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper (and in the <br />Construction Bulletin) an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under <br />such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for 21 days, <br />shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the Clerk until 11 :00 <br />a.m. on Friday, June 1998, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council <br />Chambers of the City Hail by the City Clerk an'^ Engineer, and will then be tabulated. An <br />assessment hearing will then be held and after the ;ijsessment appeal period ends the bids will <br />be considered by the Council at 7:00 p.m. on July 13 1998 in the Council Chambers. Any <br />bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an <br />opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered <br />unless sealed and filed with the Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier’s check, bid <br />bond or certified check payable to the Clerk for 5 per cent of the amount of such bid. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting held this <br />11th day of May, 1998. <br />Gabriel Jabbour, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Linda S.
