CITY of ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. 3 8 8 0 <br />A RESOLUTION AGREEING TO THE FUTURE VACATION OF <br />AN UNUSED PORTION OF NAVARRE LANE <br />IN SECTION 17, TOWNSHIP 117 NORTH, RANGE 23 WEST <br />IN THE CITY OF ORONO, MINNESOTA <br />FILE NO. 2197 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono is a municipal corporation organized and existing <br />under the laws of the State of Minnesota; and <br />WHEREAS, on October 25, 1996, John O'Sullivan (hereinafter the "applicant") <br />in conjunction with North Central Conser\ative Baptist Association filed a petition with the <br />City of Orono requesting the vacation of a portion of Navarre Lane in Hennepin County, <br />Minnesota, legally described as follows: <br />Beginning at the most easterly corner of Lot 21, "Wiley's Navarre <br />Addition, Lake Minnetonka"; thence southeasterly along the northeasterly <br />line of said Lot 21 extended to a point 33.0 feet northwesterly from the <br />northwesterly line of Outlot C, "Lafayette Ridge", as measured <br />perpendicularly from said northwesterly line; thence southwesterly <br />parallel to the northwesterly line of said Outlot C to the most northerly <br />comer of Tract A, Registered Land Survey No. 1433; thence <br />southwesterly to a point on the northwesterly line of said Tract A, 253.03 <br />feet southwesterly of the most northerly comer of said Tract A; thence <br />North 31 degrees 52 minutes 41 seconds West a distance of 43.82 feet <br />more or less to a point on the southeasterly line of Lot 5, Block 3, <br />"Townsite of Langdon Park"; thence northeasterly along the southeasterly <br />line of said Lot 5, Block 3 to the most easterly comer of said Lot 5, <br />Block 3; thence southeasterly along the southwesterly line of Lot 22, <br />"Wiley's Navarre Addition, Lake Minnetonka" to the most southerly point <br />of said Lot 22; thence nonheasterly along the southeasterly lines of Lots <br />22 and 21, "Wiley's Navarre Addition, Lake Minnetonka" to the point of <br />beginning; and <br />WHEREAS, after due published and posted notice, a public hearing was held <br />before the Orono Planning Commission on November 18, 1996, regarding said vacation and <br />all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard; and <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />'iir I' nrif ■! ■■ ■ —ii n
