MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO CITY COUNCIL <br />MEETING HELD ON FEBRUARY 23,1998 <br />(*#18) CHANGE ORDER NO. 8 - NORTH LONG LAKE/LONG LAKE <br />COUNTRY CLUB SEWER PROJECT <br />Jabbour moved, Kelley seconded, to approve Change Order No. 8, North Long <br />Lake/Long Lake Counuy Club Sanitary Sewer project, in the amount of $8,354.00, <br />Vote: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />(*#19) REQUEST FOR PAYMENT NO. 7 - NORTH LONG LAKE/LONG LAKE <br />COUNTRY CLUB SEWER PROJECT <br />Jabbour moved, Kelley seconded, to approve Request for Payment No. 7, North Long <br />Lake Sanitary Sewer Project to Barbarossa & Sons in the amount of $69,632.38. Vote: <br />Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />(*#20) REQUEST FOR PAYMENT #6 - BAY RIDGE/BRACKETTS POINT <br />SEWER PROJECT <br />Jabbour moved, Kelley seconded, to approve Request for Payment No. 6, Bracketts <br />Point/Bay Ridge Sanitary Sewer Project to Barbarossa & Sons in the amount of <br />$8,899.60. Vote: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR’S REPORT <br />(#21) 1998 ENGINEER FEES <br />Moorse reported that the request is for approval of the engineering fees for 1998, <br />Kelley asked what the 4 % increase for 1998 included. Cook said the amount was <br />$60,000 for general engineering. Jabbour said the amount is confusing as it does not <br />include the water plant and sewer projects. <br />Kelley asked what percent of the 1998 fees were not approved. Moorse said about <br />$15,000-20,000 was for non-applications. Kelley clarified that the engineering fees for <br />sewer projects was not recouped but assessed and bonded. <br />Kelley moved, Goetten seconded, to approve the 1998 fee schedule for services provided <br />by the City’s consultant engineer. Vote: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />(#22) HIGHWAY 12 LAND USE CONCEPT POLICY - RESOLUTION NO. 4041 <br />Moorse reported that a general concept plan for land use along Highway 12 was <br />reviewed at the work session. Staff was asked to draft a resolution reflecting the Council <br />consensus
