WETLANDS DELINEATION DOCUMENTATION FOR <br />JIM TOUVE <br />PROJECT IN ORONO. MN <br />John Anderson, EnviroData, Minneapolis, MN delineated and documented wetlands <br />boundaries on the subject property on April 23rd, 1997 at the request of Jim Touve. <br />This report provides information as to the dominant wetland characteristics at the site <br />as result of the Investigation. The parameters of the wetland/upland boundaries are <br />provided in each delineation report form as this information is redundant below. <br />Please review documentation of these findings (referenced in report and site plan). A <br />sketch of the staked wetland boundaries is included In the report. <br />LOCATION <br />Lots 57, 58, 59, 60, and 61 <br />Highwood Lake of Minnetonka <br />Orono, Minnesota <br />METHODOLOGY <br />Wetlands were identified and delineated using the 1987 Corps of Engineers Wetlands <br />Delineation Manual (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, 1987) Revisions to the former <br />method have been proposed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and are <br />currently under review. Pending the adoption of these revisions, the U.S. army Corps <br />of Engineers is applying the 1987 Corps Wetlands Delineation Manual. The wetland <br />and/or deep water habitat were classified according to the methodologies set forth In <br />Wetlands of the United States (USFWS Circular 39. Shaw and Fredine, 1971) and <br />Classification of Wetlands and Deep water Habitats of the United States fFWS/OBS <br />Publication 79/31; Cowardin et. al.1979). <br />CHARACTERISTICS OF WETLANDS INVESTIGATED <br />Transect A.#l <br />This is a Type Five (PABF) wetland checksite. Dominant specie is Duckweed (OBL). <br />Soils are Glencoe, a wetland soil. Surface hydrology evidence is met, as site is <br />ponded. <br />Transect A.#ll <br />This Is a Type Six (PSS1A) wetland checksite. Dominant specie is Green Ash <br />(FACW). Soils are Glencoe, a wetland soil. Surface hydrology is met. Site is <br />saturated and in a wetland drainage pattern. <br />Transect A.#l 11 <br />This is a non-wetland checksite. Dominant specie is Green Ash (FACW). Soils are <br />Glencoe, a wetland soil. Surface hydrology Is not met. Site Is not flooded, ponded or <br />saturated, or in a wetland drainage pattern.
