NIiniTBS OP THE REGULAR ORONO PARK COMMISSION MEETING <br />mnji NOVEMBER 5, 1990 <br />BIXB/BIKE TRAILS REPORT - <br />Dick Flint reported to the Ccmmission that the City Council <br />had voted in favor of the developer on the Fullerton property <br />bike/hike trail easement restriction. Orono cannot start work on <br />the trail until it connects to something. The Commission is <br />interested in pursuing the trail to the school. motion was <br />made that the Park Commission requst an easement across the <br />property between Willow Road and Old Crystal Bay Road south of <br />County Road 6. The motion was seconded. Ayes 6, nays 0. <br />PARK DEDICATION FEES - Wildhurst Estate and Lafayette Marsh <br />Steve Weckman presented to the Commission the Park Pee <br />calculations for wildhurst Estate and Lafayette Marsh, commisson <br />members discussed the appropriateness of ° <br />these properties. After consideration it was decided to accept <br />the Park Dedication Pees. <br />JET SKI ORDINANCE - <br />The Long Lake Jet Ski Ordinance was reviewed and the <br />Commission recommended the adoption of the ordinance re ating o <br />the use of personal watercraft as approved by Long Lake. <br />SKATE BOARD/ilOLLER SKI ORDINANCE - <br />The Park Commission took no action as they felt they were <br />not the proper channel for these decisions. <br />1991 MEETINGS - <br />The first Monday night of the .^onth was selected as our <br />meeting night from January through April ^^91. We will meet the <br />first Tuesday night from May through December 1991. <br />03MMDNITT EDOCATION JOINT MEETINGS - <br />The first joint meeting of the Park Commission included in <br />the Orono School District was chaired by Toni Bergland, Community <br />Education Director. It was attended by several Orono Park <br />Commission Members. The following meetings of this group will be <br />attended by just two members of each Park Commission to make the <br />exchange of information easier.
