Diann <br />Goetten, Edward Callahan, Gabriel Jabbour, and Mary Butler. T- <br />following represented the City Staff: City Administrator Ma..v <br />Bernhardson, Building and Zoning Administrator Jeanne Mabusth, <br />Public Works Director John Gerhardson, City Clerk Dorothy Hallin, <br />City Attorney Thomas Barrett, City Engineer Glenn Cook, and City <br />Recorder Laurie Scheffler. Mayor Peterson called the meeting to <br />order at 7:00 p.m. <br />(il)OATH OF OFFICE <br />Dorothy Hallin administered the Oath <br />CounciImember Butler. <br />Office <br />Mayor Peterson welcomed Councilmember Litler personally, and <br />on behalf of the Council. <br />(#2*)CONSENT AGENDA <br />Goetten requested the removal <br />Agenda. <br />of item #24 from the Consent <br />Mayor Peterson stated that she too wished to discuss item <br />#24, and requested that item #23 also be removed from the Consent <br />Agenda. <br />It was moved by Goetten, seconded by Butler, to approve the <br />Consenr. Agenda, with the exception of items #23 and *24, which <br />were removed and discussed in the seq >ence shown on the Agenda. <br />Motion, Ayes-5, Nays-0. Motion passed. <br />(#3*)APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />It was moved by Goetten, seconded by Butler, to approve the <br />Minutes of the Regular Council Meeting held February 25, 1951. <br />Motion, Ayes-5, Nays-0. Motion passed. <br />PARK COMMISSION COMMENTS: <br />Park Commissioner, James Gilbert, was present for the <br />purpose of discussing another item on the agenda. Mayor Peterson <br />asked Gilb'^rt if he wished to say anything on behalf of the Park <br />Commissio.:. <br />Gilbert stated that people from the Community have begun <br />attending Park Commission meetings on a regular basis. He said, <br />"It is the consensus of the Park Commission that we could perhaps <br />attend two or three Council meetings a year to keep Council <br />apprised of our efforts. The Park Commission is currently trying <br />to coordinate efforts for a bike path with Hennepin County and <br />the State. There has been quite a bit of support from the Orono <br />residents in this regard." <br />- 1 -
