Cohen asked if anyone knew tue e.cistin^ rignt*of-way for <br />County Road 6, west of Highw-ny 101. <br />Gerhardson replied, "The right-of-way is 6n feet. If you look at a Regional map, you see <br />that 1-35 serves the n«orth and south. 1-94 serves the east, but <br />it angels to the northwest to serve St. Cloud and Fargo. The <br />areas to the west aid southwest i^ really not served by an <br />interstate. *' <br />Kelley stated that there is Highway 1'39 to Mankato. <br />Bellows add ad that Highways 212 and 7 ser.'e the south and <br />southwest. <br />Rylander said, "Those Highways serve those areas to some <br />degree. The need tc serve tnose areas put some of the impetus on <br />developing Highway 212." <br />Kelley asked how miny other corridors, in addition to <br />Highw.ay 212, will be necessary to serve the western commerce. <br />P.vlander replied, "That is what the modeling and forecast <br />proce.is considers. When the traffic volumes are developed, <br />certain assumptions are made in regard to other roads that exist. <br />It is that kind of modeling that is being done by Howard, Needles <br />- 6 -
