Minutes <br />City Council Regular Meeting <br />Monday, May 13, 2024, 6:00 PM <br />City Council Chambers 2780 Kelley Parkway, Orono, MN 55356 <br />20. Purchase of Radio Equipment for Orono Fire Facilities <br />The City Council is requested to review the Staff report, receive a presentation, and discuss and <br />purchaseradio equipment for the Temporary North Station (old Public Works building) quoted at <br />$44,215.60. <br />The Council discussed the item and asked questions of staff. <br />Johnson moved, Veach seconded, to accept the quote for Motorola radio equipment for the Fire <br />Department. VOTE: Ayes 3, Nays 1 (Benson). <br />Fire Chief Van Eyll gave a public safety Power Point presentation concerning staffing, budget, and the <br />Fire Department's Mission, Vision and Values statement. <br />CITY ATTORNEY REPORT <br />City Attorney Mattick updated the Council on his upcoming schedule. <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR/ENGINEER REPORT <br />21. Navarre Garage Additions (24-034) Award <br />The City Council is requested to review the Staff report, receive a presentation, and discuss and accept the <br />low quote from the Dering Pierson Group for $169,513.46 for Navarre Garage Additions for fire and <br />other equipment storage. <br />The Council discussed the it and asked questions of staff. <br />Johnson moved, each seconded, to accept the quote from DPG for $169,513.46 for the Navarre <br />Garage Additions. VOTE: Ayes 3, Nays 1 (Benson). <br />22. Correspondence with the Long Lake City Council <br />The City Council is requested to review the Staff report, receive a presentation, and discuss <br />correspondence from the City of Long Lake and the City of Orono response. <br />The Council discussed the item and asked questions of staff. <br />Johnson moved, Veach seconded, to approve the response letter and send it to the City of Long <br />Lake. VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />6. Workplace Culture Assessment Service Contract <br />The Council discussed the item and asked questions of staff. <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />
