The deck was included in the <br />project approved in 2021 to construct a second story and new lakeside deck on the existing home <br />(Resolution No. 7214). In 2021, a second story was proposed; that portion of the project is on <br />hold. <br /> <br />2.MN§15.99 Application Deadline: <br />The application was submitted on March 19, 2024 and considered to be complete on March 24, <br />2024. The 60-day review period will expire on June 23rd. <br />3.Background: <br />The applicant is requesting variances to permit a new deck on the lakeside of the home. The deck <br />will continue the line of the home on the north side, 2.6 feet from the side lot line where a 7.5 foot <br />setback is required; and will be located entirely lakeward of the average lakeshore setback line. <br /> <br />The applicant is also proposing a 122 square foot hardcover reduction, resulting in 31% where <br />31.6% hardcover currently exists. Average lakeshore setback, side yard setback, and hardcover <br />variances are requested. This application was reviewed by the Planning Commission on May <br />20th. <br />4.Planning Commission Vote and Comment: <br />At their meeting on May 20th, the Planning Commission voted 6 to 0 in favor of recommending <br />approval of the application as applied.
