Date: May 28, 2024 Item: 6 <br />Presenter: Correy Farniok, Police Chief <br />Section: Consent Agenda <br /> <br />Title: Hazard Mitigation Plan - Resolution 7478 <br /> <br /> <br />1.Purpose: <br />To approve and adopt the 2024 Hennepin County Hazard Mitigation Plan. <br />2.Background: <br />The Federal Emergency Management Agency determined in the Mitigation Act of 2000 that each <br />city must have a hazard mitigation plan. If a jurisdiction does not have a hazard mitigation plan, <br />disaster funds may be limited. The city has worked with our neighboring agencies and <br />communities to assist Hennepin County with an updated Hazard Mitigation Plan (more than 800 <br />pages).
