?: <br />EXHIBIT A <br />Hardcover ABendeent - Draft wording <br />Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 10.22, Subdivision 2 is <br />hereby repealed, and the following language substituted in its <br />place: <br />Subd. 2. Lakeshore Hardco^ver and Land Alteration <br />Regulations. Within 75 feet of^shoreline there shall be no <br />excavating, filling, hardcover, temporary or permanent <br />structures except as permitted under Subdivision 1 of this <br />section. For all properties which abut the shoreline, <br />hardcover shall not exceed 15% of the lot area. For all <br />properties not abutting the shoreline but located less than <br />1,000* from the shoreline, hardcover shall not exceed 25% of <br />the lot area. <br />Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 10>02, Definition 29, <br />"Hardcover** is hereby repealed and the following language <br />substituted in its place: <br />29. "Hard Cover" - Any structure, blacktop or other <br />material which interferes to any degree with the direct <br />absorption of rainfall into the ground. Hardcover includes <br />but is not limited to the following: <br />roofs, sidewalks, paved or gravel driveways, patios, <br />decks (including slatted decks), tops of retaining <br />walls and rock walls, decorative landscape areas <br />(clean rock, wood chips, etc.) underlaid with plastic <br />sheeting or other impervious material. All driveway <br />areas subject to regular vehicular traffic or parking, <br />regardless of surface material, shall be considered as <br />hardcover.
