Motion passed. <br />PAY REQUEST |4 - PUMPHOUSE «3 <br />It was moved by Callahan# seconded by Goetten, to approve <br />Pay Request #4 in the amount of $66,829.17, to Richmar <br />Construction for Pumphouse #3. Motion, Ayes-4, Nays-0. <br />NAYOR/COUNCIL REPORT: <br />COUNCIL POSITION APPOINTMENT <br />RESOLUTIONS t2931 and »2932 <br />Mayor Peterson thanked those that participated in the <br />appointment process. She said# "I know that all four <br />CounciImembers spent a great deal of time considering the <br />applicants. The decision was not one we made lightly. I would <br />hope that those that are not selected at this time# would <br />continue to seek involvement in other City activities." <br />Bernhardson stated that Staff would prepare a thank you <br />letter to send to each of the applicants. <br />Goetten extended her appreciation to the applicants. She <br />said, "Due to the major issues facing our Community, it is <br />imperative that the person appointed be able to become <br />immediately involved in making the important decisions that lie <br />ahead." <br />Jabbour stated that it was exciting to see the number of <br />qualified residents willing to serve the City. He said, "It was <br />a very difficult task to select just one person. I gave an <br />enormous amount of consideration to this issue." <br />Callahan said, "I too was struck by the quality of the <br />people who came forward. It seems that over the past years, more <br />and more qualified persons have responded to the call. In my <br />opinion, any of the applicants could have served with complete <br />distinction.
