November 19, 2004
Page 2
The formal easement vacation process would involve an application that is reviewed by the Planning
Commission and City Council. You would have to provide a description of the easement to be vacated.
The application fee is $600, and the process takes approximately 2 months. I will be happy to go over
the application requirements in more detail if you wish to proceed with such a vacation.
In order to proceed with a formal letter administratively approving the subdivision, I will need the
following additional items:
1. Easement document granting the new easement 5' either side of the new lot line. This will have
to be granted by both property owners involved in the transaction.
2. Letter of request from each affected property owner requesting administrative approval of the
lot line rearrangement.
If you have any questions, please contact me at 952-249-4600.
Sincerely,
 L
Michael P. Gaffron
Planning Director
