Spring Park: Bert Poster. Deephaven; David <br />Cochran, Greenwood; Robert Pillsbury. Minnetonka; Jan Boswinkel. <br />t^inixetonka Beach; Tom Reese. Mound: Dave Dartos. Victoria, liobex t <br />Slocum, Woodland. Also present: Charles LeFevere. Counsel; <br />Rachel Thibault, Administrative Technician: Eugene Strommen. <br />Executive Director. <br />The meeting was called to order by Grathwol at 7:.35 a.m. <br />Grathwol announced the order of the prepared agenda will <br />amended to accommodate the public. <br />be <br />1. Minnetonka Boat Rentals. Inc. - Options for Storage of <br />Temporax*y Rental Pontoon Boat. <br />The Committee received a letter from LeP>vere dated l/:^'91 <br />explaining the history of a permit issued to Minnetonka Boat <br />Rentals in 1987 for placement of a rental pontoon boat on their <br />dock for part of the boating season to July 1. Tlie appli-.aiit is <br />requesting permission to e-xtend the storage tor the entire <br />boating season. The letter lists four options for considex'ation. <br />Staff pointed out that Option 4 was the most accommodating and <br />that it is preferred by the licensee. The Committee was asked to <br />determine whether this change in the slip location would be <br />allowed during the moratorium. The Committee discussed the fact <br />that the request before them does not make any inodificati'.'ns or <br />change in the actual dock configuration. Babcock suggested <br />handling the change on a temporary basis until the moratorium <br />Reese moved, Foster seconded, to recommend approval ot the <br />Minnetonka Boat Rental, Inc. request to delete the permanent <br />storage slip («4) at the ramp location and move it to the <br />location at which the pontoon boat is being stored next to slip <br />#8, making that spot a permanent storage location. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Request for minor change in dock2. The Harborage - <br />In a memo to the Committee Thibault explained changes <br />requested by the applicant. She added that because of the change <br />in configuration with slips opening directly to the side, slips 8 <br />and 9 require a double setback of their 24ā deptli. LePeveie <br />advised that a variance from the code is required, calling for a <br />Public Hearing, to involve the affected property. <br />There was discussion of the problems inherent in conveiging <br />lot lines. Cochran illustrated typical problems. Labcock <br />exprossod his opinion that this request is tor a new p an <br />and not allowed under the moratorium. <br />1
