Please read the Conditions of tle permit,
particularly those relating to erosion control. Also note that Condition#14 prohibits wark between April l
and June 30 in order to minimize the impacts of the work along the shoreline on fish spawning.
You indicated during our site visit that you are interested in methods to discourage geese from congregating
in your yard. You are encouraged to consider incorporating native vegetation into this project, particularly
along the shoreline area to the south of the lagoon entrance and to the north of your dock. This will still keep
an adequate area open for lake access. An information brochure,"Homeowners'Guide to Goose Problems,"
is enclosed that describes methods for controlling geese.Note that landscaping is considered to be the most
effective lonb term and environmentally sound method of reducing goose problems. This information can
also be found on the DNR website at: http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/livingwith_wildlife/geese/
If you have any questions concerning this permit, please contact me at 65]-772-7910.
Sincerely,
   '
Julie C.
