r <br /> O O CITY of ORONO <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> G <br /> L�kES 0 <br /> A RESOLUTION <br /> GRANTING VARIANCES <br /> TO ORONO MUNICIPAL CODE <br /> SECTIONS 78-350(B) <br /> FILE NO. 13-3603 <br /> WHEREAS, Richard G. Devlin and Cheryl J. Coryea, a married couple, <br /> (hereinafter "Applicants") are the owners of the property located at 3085 Casco Point Road <br /> within the City of Orono (hereinafter "City") and legally described as: Lot 55, including <br /> adjacent one-half of Ivy Place Vacated, Spring Park, Hennepin County, Minnesota <br /> (hereinafter"the Property"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the Applicants have made application to the City for variances <br /> from Orono Code Section 78-350 in order to construct a one-story addition connecting the <br /> home to the detached garage; and <br /> WHEREAS, the detached garage on the Property received front and side yard <br /> setback variances in 1978 and the current survey indicates it is located 6.8 feet from the front <br /> property line and 9.5 feet from the north, side property line; and; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Applicants have also made application to the City for <br /> variances from Orono City Code Section 78-350 in order to raise and reorient the roof of the <br /> existing detached garage 6.8 feet from the front property line and 9.5 feet from the north, <br /> side property line; and <br /> WHEREAS, the existing home on the Property is located in a conforming <br /> location; and <br /> WHEREAS, after due published notice and mailed notice in accordance with <br /> Minnesota Statutes and the Orono, Minnesota, City Code, the Orono Planning Commission <br /> held a public hearing on May 20, 2013, at which times all persons desiring to be heard <br /> concerning this application were given the opportunity to speak thereon. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br /> Minnesota: <br /> FINDINGS <br /> 1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File #13-3603. <br /> 2. The,Property is located in the LR-1 C zoning district, where 0.5 acres is the <br /> Page 1 of 5 <br />
