�-��o <br /> C ITY OF ORONO <br /> E�ESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> y � <br /> �' G` No. 648q <br /> �9kESH��� <br /> WHEREAS, the Applicant has also made an application for approval of a <br /> variance from Municipal Zoning Code Section 78-1700 in order to allow construction of <br /> the 3,224 square foot addition over an existing improved hard surface resulting in 47% <br /> hardcover where 47% hardcover currently exists and 35% hardcover is permitted; and <br /> WHEREAS, after due published and mailed notice in accordance with <br /> Minnesota Statutes 462.3595 et. seq. and the City of Orono Zoning Codes, on January <br /> 20, 2015, the Orono Planning Commission held a public hearing for the application at <br /> which time all persons desiring to be heard conceming the application were given the <br /> opportunity to speak thereon. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br /> Minnesota: <br /> FINDINGS <br /> 1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File#15-3704. <br /> 2. The Property is located in the LR-1 C One-Family Lakeshore Residential Zoning <br /> District. <br /> 3. Public service structures are an allowed conditional use within the LR-1 C District. <br /> 4. A maintenance facility has existed and been in operation on the Property since <br /> 1962. <br /> 5. The Planning Commission reviewed this application at a public hearing held on <br /> January 20, 2015 and voted 6 for and 0 against on a motion to approve the <br /> conditional use permit, variance and site plan for the building addition as <br /> described herein based on the following findings: <br /> a) The proposed building addition will comply with all zoning setback <br /> requirements pertinent to public service structures. <br /> b) The proposed building addition is relatively non-obtrusive and is compliant <br /> with the zoning code. <br /> Page2of5 <br />
