S 10.55 <br />12. "Regional Flood" - A flood which is <br />representative of large floods known to have occurred generally in <br />Minnesota and reasonably characteristic of what can be expected to <br />occur on an average-frequency in the magnitude of the 100-year <br />p^currence interval. Regional flood is synonymous with the term <br />"base flood" used in the Flood Insurance Study. <br />13. "Structure" - Anything, or part thereof, which <br />is built, constructed or erected, an edifice or building of any <br />kind, or any piece of work artificially built up or composed of <br />parts joined together in some definite manner, which requires a <br />location on, below, or above the ground, land, or water. <br />14. "Wetlands or Marshland" - Lowlands covered with <br />shallow and sometimes temporary or intermittent waters and also <br />identifiable by wetlands vegetation and soil types. <br />15. "Wetlands Vegetation Types" - Including, but not <br />limited to, bulrushes, cattails, arrowhead, sedges, mar: h grasses <br />as identified by the Hennepin Soil and Water Conservatior. District <br />and/or Circular 39 of the United States Department of the Interior, <br />Fish and Wildlife Service. <br />16. "Wetlands Soil Types" - Including, but not <br />limited to, Marsh (Ma), Peat and Peaty Muck (Pa, Pm) Lake Beaches <br />(Lc, Ld), Hamel (Ha), and Glencoe (Gc) as identified and classified <br />by the Hennepin Soil and Water Conservation District and/or <br />Circular 39 of the United States Department of the Interior, Fish <br />and Wildlife Service. <br />Subd. 4. Definition and Establishment of Protected <br />Areas. The "Flood Plain and Wetlands Conservation Area , <br />hereinafter referred to as the protected area, is defined and <br />established to be the low areas and flood plain adjoining and <br />including any watercourse or drainage way or body of water subject <br />to periodic flooding or overflow. These areas are divided int- the <br />following three protected area districts: <br />A. Floodway District (FW) - The Floodway District <br />flowage areas. <br />B.
