�0�� <br /> C ITY OF ORONO <br /> RESOLUTION OF T'HE CITY COUNCIL <br /> � 1 6441 <br /> �' G N O. <br /> jRkFSH��� <br /> A RESOLUTION APPOINTING <br /> THE ABSENTEE BALLOT BOARD <br /> FOR THE 2012 GENERAL ELECTION <br /> TO BE HELD NOVEMBER 4, 2014 <br /> WHEREAS, the City Hall serves as an absentee ballot center for the residents of Orono; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, State Statute Section 203B.121 provides that an Absentee Ballot Board <br /> must be appointed by the City Council to process absentee ballots. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Orono City Council that the <br /> individuals named on Exhibit A be appointed as the City of Orono Absentee Ballot Board <br /> Election Judges for the November 4, 2014 General Election; and <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that: <br /> A. The Absentee Ballot Board will meet with at least two election judges of different <br /> political par•ties at various times as designated by the City Clerk. <br /> B. Absentee Ballot Board members shall be compensated at the same rate as an <br /> Election Judge at $8.50 per hour or a Head Election at $9.00 per hour for their <br /> services. <br /> C. The City Clerk is, with this resolution, authorized to make any substitutions or <br /> additions to the Absentee Ballot Board as deemed necessary; and <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the Orono City Council also appoints other individuals <br /> and all members appointed to the Hennepin County Absentee Ballot Board as authorized under <br /> Minn. Stat. 204B.21, subd. 2 under the direction of the Election Manager to serve as members of <br /> the Orono Absentee Ballot Board. <br /> Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota, at a regular meeting held <br /> August 25, 2014. <br /> ATTEST: <br /> �� �--�-� �c�C� , <br /> Rachel Dodge, City Clerk Lili Tod McMillan, Mayor <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
