Our <br />records show the work w::.s never approved by the City and would <br />require variances to do so. You stated it was replaced after the <br />1987 superstorm damage. The permit for repair of the damage <br />approved "storm damage replacement of decks. Decks to be <br />constructed per Building Permit #4747." Building Permit #4747 <br />did not approve any work within the 75' zone. <br />Therefore, the City must require you to remove these Code <br />violations. You may ask the City Council for a variance to the <br />Zoning Code to keep the decks. The Council may or may not grant <br />a variance. The City must require you to take action to resolve <br />this matter before July 8, 1991.
