h <br /><%• <br />v:- <br />vj <br />V <br />•• <br />rv <br />'!r <br />*< <br />*N% <br /><1 <br />VI <br />\ <br />ORDINANCE NO. 51, SECOND SERIES <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 9.20 (8) DISORDERLY CON^D^^ <br />AND ORDINANCE NO. 9.21 PUBLIC NUISANCE ADOPTED APRIL ) <br />The City Council of Orono ordains: <br />ordinance No. 9.20 (8) DisorderIv Conduct and Ordinance No. 9.21 <br />Public Nuisance adopted April 1, 19^4^s amended to read: <br />Sec. 9.20 Disorderly Conduct. <br />(8) Using or operating or permitting the use or operation of <br />any radio receiving set, musical instrument, phonograph, <br />paging system, machine or other device for the production or <br />reproduction of sounds in a distinct and loudly audible <br />manner so as to distrub the peace, quiet, and comfort of any <br />person nearby without prior written permission from the City. <br />Sec. 9.21 Public Nuisance. <br />Sub. 1. Participation in Noisy Parties or Gatherings. <br />A. No person shall congregate because of, or participate in, <br />repose of other persons. <br />B. A police officer may order all persons present at such <br />party or gathering ocher than the owners, residents or tenants oE <br />building or place to immediately disperse. Any person who shall <br />refuse to leave after being ordered to do so by a police officer shall <br />be guilty of a violation of this ordinanc'^.-. <br />C. Any owner, tenant or resident of the building or place <br />who has knowledge of the distrubance and fails to immediately abate <br />said distrubance shall be guilty of a violation of this Division. <br />D. Any person violating or failing to comply with any <br />ppQyision of this ordinance shall upon conviction thereof, be gu ty <br />of a misdemeanor. <br />E. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and <br />after its passage and publication according wO law. <br />Passed by the Council this 9th day of May, 1988. <br />!
