Gerhardson, Public Works Director <br />DATE:August 19, 1992 <br />SUBJECT: Assessment Deferral Income Adjustment <br />With the start of the Stubbs Bay Sewer project, we are receiving <br />requests for assessment deferrals. One of the qualifications for <br />assessment deferrals are the income limits. <br />Typically these income limits are those recommended by HUD and are the <br />income liimits used for qualifying for a Housing Rehabilitation grant <br />of which the City of Orono has allocated monies from the Community <br />Development Block Grant Programs (CDBG). <br />Those income limits are usually adjusted annually, but because <br />Hennepin County administers the program, the income limits are not an <br />annual concern. <br />The income limits for assessment deferral have not been adjusted since <br />1990 and are also income limits for the very low income and not the <br />low to moderate income level which is used for Housina Rehabilitation <br />grants. <br />I have proposed a resolution adjusting the income limits for the <br />assessment deferral program. <br />k ML. ^
