�0� <br /> � C ITY OF ORONO <br /> RESOLUT'ION OF T'HE CITY COUNCIL <br /> ��'l,� �,G` N o. b 4 1 8 <br /> kESH�� <br /> A RESOLUTION APPOINTING <br /> THE ABSENTEE BALLOT BOARD <br /> FOR THE 2014 PRIMARY ELECTION <br /> TO BE HELD AUGUST 12, 2014 <br /> WHEREAS, the City Hall serves as an absentee ballot center for the residents of Orono; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, State Statute Section 203B.121 provides that an Absentee Ballot Board <br /> must be appointed by the City Council to process absentee ballots. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE;BE IT RESOLVED by the Orono City Council that the <br /> individuals named on Exhibit A be appointed as the City of Orono Absentee Ballot Board <br /> Election Judges for the August 12, 2014 Primary Election; and <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that: <br /> A. The Absentee Ballot Board will meet with at least two election judges of different <br /> political parties at various times as designated by the City Clerk. <br /> B. Absentee Ballot Board members shall be compensated at the same rate as an <br /> Election Judge at $8.50 per hour or a Head Election at$9.00 per hour for their <br /> services. <br /> C. The City Clerk is, with this resolution, authorized to make any substitutions or <br /> additions to the Absentee Ballot Board as deemed necessary; and <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the Orono City Council also appoints other individuals <br /> and all members appointed to the Hennepin County Absentee Ballot Board as authorized under <br /> Minn. Stat. 204B.21, Subd. 2, under the direction of the Election Manager to serve as members <br /> of the Orono Absentee Ballot Board. <br /> Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono,Minnesota, at a regular meeting held June <br /> 23, 2014. <br /> ATTEST: <br /> � �CL � �C �.� c �-- �.�(.�.� d�C <br /> Rachel Dodge, City Clerk Lili Tod McMillan, Mayor <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
