Ayes 7, nays 0. <br />B) ALBERT HANGER <br />Oarhardson noted that this a five lot suodivlsicn, with one <br />axitting raaldence. He suggested they consider a bike trail <br />aatamant along the road. <br />Johnston askad If the topography in that area would allow for a <br />bike traiI. <br />Garhardson noted he currently is applying for a conditional use <br />parmit to widan the shoulder in that area. <br />Johnston asked If th# railroad is expected to remain for a long <br />t imt. <br />Oarhardson no* 'd it currently only serves tne 3M plant in <br />Hutchinson. <br />Johnston stated that it may end up being abandonee and oernaos <br />being usad <n the same manner as the Luce Line Trail. <br />Bradley suggested they adopt as an operating policy the taKing of <br />an additional 10’ for bike trails along roadways. <br />Chair Flint explained he tried to get the Council to sgree w.th <br />that policy, but they felt each application should be reviewed. <br />It was Biovad by Bradley, seconded by Iise, to recommend payment of <br />a park dedication fee for the subdivision proposal by Alpert <br />Hanaar, and to raouast a 10’ bike trail easement to be taken along <br />th# utility easement along Fox Street. Ayes 7, nays 0. <br />(S4) PLAYa’OUNO EQUIPMENT BEOERWOOO PARK <br />Oarhardson passed out a legal opi».ion regarding ada. He stated <br />bids will be opened on March 20th for playground equipment to be <br />located at Bedarwood Park. He stated the opinion suggests there <br />will be no additional requirements for tne equipment for ft montns <br />to 1 year with regards to the new law.
