Go-.te <br />agreed with Nettles. <br />councilmember Cellahan referred to the minu.es o. the April <br />19, LMCD Meeting, paragraph 5D, regarding the development of an <br />action program for public access to Lake Minnetonka. Callahan <br />bIlieCed that a marina committee will be necessary to oefend <br />itsilf and the citizens of Orono from the LMCD. Callahan asked <br />ll anyone is familiar with the DNR Shoreland Grant Contract and <br />PMparation for Cities to sign as Partners. Bernhardson said that he would research <br />the matter further. <br />Mr. Gabriel Jabbour said that it was refreshing to see the <br />rouncil moving forward n the issue of marina committees. He <br />u?gSr the council to continue to be proactive, rather than <br />reactive Mr. Jabbour suggested that Council may wish ^ <br />Iterbeyond a marina commiltee by establishing ordinances "that <br />ioSld provide teeth to bite into any regulations that may be <br />mandated **. <br />It was moved by Councilmember Nettles, seconded by <br />Councilmember Goetten, that staf.- prepare <br />the history of Orono Marina Committees and their dealing with <br />issues beyond licensing.
