That portion of the application was <br />tabled by Planning Commseion at their September 16, <br />meeting. Planning Commission indicated they would <br />prefer that this application be reviewed as two <br />separate items, and indicated to applicant that the <br />gazebo/bathhouse issue would be sent on for Council <br />action. <br />Discussion <br />Please review the memo and exhibits of September 11. <br />Briefly, the Building Inspection staff found a gazebo/bathhouse <br />being reconstructed in the 0-75* zone while they were reviewing <br />the garage building permit application. Applicant was advised to <br />stop construction on the gazebo/bathhouse. He continued that <br />construction to ctxnpletion without benefit of City approval or a <br />building permit. <br />The discussion section in Page 2 of the September 11 memo <br />details staff's interpretation of thii constructlOii and the <br />issues involved. <br />PlaimiBg Ccmmissioo Rerr—endatii <br />Planning Commission voted 3 in favor, 2 against a motion to <br />approve an after-the-fact variance and building permit for the <br />gazebo/bathhouse as constructed. The Planning Commission minutes <br />are attached for Council review.
