Chair Hurr expressed appreciation <br />to the agency, city and board members present. <br />ENVIRONMENT PURPOSE. Citing the purpose from the Management <br />Plan for Lake Minnetonka, Hurr stated it to be that <br />successfully balancing environmental and human needs which <br />influence Lake Minnetonka. That balance is dependent upon <br />responsible managing authorities effectively regu a ng <br />impact of development around the lake. <br />GOAL is to maintain the lake as an open, <br />capable of supporting year-round recreational activities. <br />OVERALL WATER QUALITY OBJECTIVES were noted to <br />«. Establish benchmark water quality assessment <br />Idopt updated water quality objectives based on studies. <br />Independently evaluate LMCD's Eurasian water milfoil <br />control program. <br />ADDITIONAL OBJECTIVES deal with the management of: <br />a. stormwater runoff <br />b. Wetland identification and protection <br />c. Fisheries monitoring, protection, influences <br />d Consistency In shoreland regulations <br />o Eurasian wate. milfoil control, spread prevention <br />In^Tuinc. of oth.r .Kotlc .p.ci.. on I.k. quality <br />b. <br />c. <br />d.
