In addition, berms would be <br />cSwtructed along the Creek, and the channel modified from Penn <br />Avenue to Humboldt Avenue, in order to lower the Pjoiected <br />Minneapolis. The study specifies that two additional bridges be <br />reconstructed at James Avenue and Humboldt Avenue. The <br />construction of these bridges will be considered as a of <br />separate permit applications, with construction projected for <br />1993-1994^ The Board of Managers previously reviewed <br />bridge design at its regularly f'and provided concept approval for the bridge at that time. Staff <br />notes in its report that significant information remains to be <br />S?ovidid, and recommends tabling of the application pending <br />receipt of this information. Additional information was received <br />from the City of Minneapolis since the time that the staff report <br />was completed, but staff indicated that it had not had an <br />opportunity to review the information. <br />meeting. <br />President Spensley expressed his concern that information had <br />was his opinion that the Humboldt Avenue Bridge would not <br />materially affect the Creek’s capacity, and that he would provide <br />calculations confirming this opinion.
