Jabbour stated that all members of the ^rnote^a sewer project on either the receiving or giving end. He noted the Council Is Interested in getting the sewer for the ieast possl^ble cost and stated this is the first time the City wTlIIng to pj-ticipate with the cost. He asked if it would be possible to separate the project. Cook explained that the bid was received in five i wl a'^^rs'a' , o'^norb^^t^r ro Tnd^'st^ir^: the bid without a special contract. sa'abbour explained that the Council has built into the amount a $100,000 contingency for litigation which will reduce the assessment amount If not used. He reminded them that if the project Is postponed, the interest rate could not be guaranteed. Mayor Peterson noted that due to the number of residents ;nat have retained legal counsel for possible litigation, she adjourned the meeting to executive session at 8;12 p.m. to 8:35 p.m. Mayor Petsrson announced the public hearing wouId be continued on May 18, 1992 at 7:00 p.m. at the Orono High School cafeteria, which will allow Mr. Knight’s group additional time. She stated that those submitting an appeal that evening did not need to attend the continued public hearing meeting.
