A. <br />Johnston, Minnetonka; JoFllen Burr, Orono: Douglas Babcock, <br />Secretary, Spring Park; Robert Slocum, Woodland. <br />READING OF MINUTES: <br />Grathwol moved, Boswinkel seconded, to dispense with the <br />reading of the 2/26/92 minutes "nd to approve them as submitted. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS: There were no comments from per.sons in attend <br />ance not on the agenda. <br />CHAIR ANNOUNCEMENTS: There were no announcements from the Chair. <br />CONSENT AGENDA; There were no items on the consent agenda. <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />1. ENVIRONMENT, Chair Hurr <br />A. Eurasian Water Milfoil I'ask Force, Chair Penn <br />Penn presented the minutes of the Eurasian Water Milfoil <br />Task Force meeting held on 3/17/92. <br />SONAR TEST TREATMENT. Penn reported representatives of the <br />DNR, Lake cities, LMCD, Lake Associations, residents of Carsons <br />Bay, St. Louis Bay and St. Alban's Bay, Freshwater Foundation and <br />of DowElanco were present to talk about the use of SONAR, an <br />aquatic herbicide, for treatment of FliWM. The DowElanco people <br />shared test results of SONAR used in Michigan lakes. The consen <br />sus was that before proceeding to test SONAR, a base 1 i.ne needs <br />to be established to measure the impact of SONAR. This year is <br />building period.
