0 RESOLUTION NO. 656 <br />A resolution authorizing the exchange of <br />property within the City of Orono between <br />the City of Orono and Mr. Thomas Betz <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Tom Betz is desirous of transferring the title <br />to certain property which provides access to Lake Minnetonka in <br />order to induce the City of Orono to transfer a similar parcel to <br />Mr. Betz in order to assist Mr. Betz in the clearing of title <br />objections to his homestead, and <br />WHEREAS, the City Engineer and staff have reviewed the <br />proposal and find that both parcels are similar in nature and that <br />the land use planning of the City will not be adversely affected <br />by such an exchange, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono is desirous of assisting one <br />• of its citizens in removing title defects to his property at no <br />cost to the City of Orono, <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Clerk <br />Administrator be directed to and are authorized to execute the <br />attached quit claim deed granting to Mr. Thomas Betz certain pro- <br />perty owned by the City of Orono, and are authorized to receive <br />from Thomas Betz and Mr. Andrew Miner the property described in the <br />attached quit claim deeds in exchange for the property presently <br />owned by the City of Orono. <br />Passed this 12 day of January, 1976 by a vote of 4 <br />ayes and 0 nays. <br />Robert L.
