Gerhardsonr Public Works Director <br />DATE:March 17, 1992 <br />SUBJECT: Request for Speed Study East Long Lake F^oad <br />Recently the City received a letter of co ncern from an 0 ■ resident <br />regarding the speed limit on East Long Lake Road. <br />A review by staff has determined that a safe and reasonable speed <br />limit has not been established for East Long Lake Road. <br />Due to the fact that East Long Lake Road is narrow with sharp curves <br />and the fact that a public swimming beach (Summit Park Swimming Beach) <br />enters/exits onto the road and which also generates pedestrian <br />traffic, a speed study should be conducted. <br />I have prepared a resoluti<^n for Council's review and approval. <br />I
