Senior Planner '^/«' <br />Office of Planning and Development <br />Urban Hennepin County Community Development <br />Block Grant Program <br />The city of Orono has been an active participant in the Urban Hennepiii County <br />program since 1976, the second funding cycle the program. Since 1976 the <br />city of Orono has been allocated $616,398 with another $25,736 programmed for <br />the city from the FY 92 grant. <br />The major program activities undertaken with the available funds have <br />included; <br />Housing Rehabilitation <br />Sewer and Water <br />$330,892 <br />185,161 <br />47 households assisted <br />Assessment grants within the <br />Crystal Bay area. <br />Assisted Housing 30,000 Assisted in acquiring the site for <br />the elderly housing development in <br />Mound. <br />Neighborhood Park <br />Improvements <br />10,520 Bederwood, Hackberry, and <br />Antione Parks. <br />Community Planning 43,919 Comprehensive community planning, <br />sewer plan, community trail plan. <br />Public Services 8,100 Funds provided to lOCP, Westonka <br />Community Action Network, and <br />Westonka Intervention. <br />In addition the city has funded smaller activities for the removal of <br />diseased trees and removal of architectural barriers at polling sites. <br />Should additional information be needed or there be any questions, please <br />contact me at 348-5859. <br />LB:dc
