Date: March 11, 2024 Item: 10 <br />Presenter: Laura Oakden, Community Development Director <br />Section: Consent Agenda <br /> <br />Title: Reappoint Planning Commissioners - Resolution 7454 <br /> <br /> <br />1.Purpose: <br />To make appointments to the Planning Commission <br />2.Background: <br />The Planning Commission is made up of seven regular members who serve three year terms. <br /> Section 74-2 prescribes membership, with the intent to diversify perspectives between the lake <br />and non-lake, and the urban (zoning less than 2 acres) and rural (zoning more than 2 acres) <br />residents. The terms are intended to be staggered. Three of the current Commissioner have term <br />limits that are set to expire, Bob Erikson, Dennis Libby and Jon Ressler. They were asked if they <br />would like to serve another 3 year term. All of them said yes. All three commissioners have <br />served 2 terms and if reappointed would be their 3rd and final term at the Planning Commission. <br />Chris Bollis is recommends to be the chair for the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />The alternate position is a annual appointment. Ted Schultzs was appointed as an alternate in May <br />of 2023 and is available as an alternate for another year (2024).
