Date: March 11, 2024 Item: 10 Presenter: Laura Oakden, Community Development Director Section: Consent Agenda Title: Reappoint Planning Commissioners - Resolution 7454 1.Purpose: To make appointments to the Planning Commission 2.Background: The Planning Commission is made up of seven regular members who serve three year terms. Section 74-2 prescribes membership, with the intent to diversify perspectives between the lake and non-lake, and the urban (zoning less than 2 acres) and rural (zoning more than 2 acres) residents. The terms are intended to be staggered. Three of the current Commissioner have term limits that are set to expire, Bob Erikson, Dennis Libby and Jon Ressler. They were asked if they would like to serve another 3 year term. All of them said yes. All three commissioners have served 2 terms and if reappointed would be their 3rd and final term at the Planning Commission. Chris Bollis is recommends to be the chair for the Planning Commission. The alternate position is a annual appointment. Ted Schultzs was appointed as an alternate in May of 2023 and is available as an alternate for another year (2024).
