<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />CITY OF ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. 7457 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A DONATION OF $850 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the city of Orono is authorized by Minn. Stat. 465.03 to accept donations of real <br />and personal property for the benefit of its citizens and is specifically authorized to accept gifts. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the city of Orono has authority under Minn. Stat. 471.17 to accept gifts and <br />donations for the benefit of the recreational service. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following Kevin Gomer has offered to donate $850 to the city: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the donation has been donated to Orono for the benefit of its residents; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is appropriate to accept the donation. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Orono City Council gratefully accepts $850 <br />to be used for a park bench at the Orono Orchard Golf Course. <br /> <br />FURTHER, staff will issue a letter to the donor acknowledging receipt of the donation and <br />expressing appreciation. <br /> <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting held on March <br />11, 2024. <br /> <br />ATTEST: CITY OF ORONO <br /> <br /> <br />___________________________________ __________________________________ <br />Christine Lusian, City Clerk Dennis Walsh, Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />33
