Ayes 4, nays 0. <br />(#10) PLANNING COMMISSION APPOINTMENT <br />Mayor Peterson noted that only one person can be appointed at this <br />time, but encouraged future appiications by the others who appiied. <br />It was moved by Goetten, seconded by Jabbour, to appoint Steve <br />Peterson to the Planning Commission. Ayes 4, nays 0. <br />MAYOR/COUNCIL REPORT <br />A) Callahan suggested that a letter be sent offering <br />condolences regarding the death of Donna Roehl, City <br />Medina, to the Citv of Medina and her family. <br />I ^othe City <br />Clerr. for <br />B)Long Lake <br />es and how <br />Jabbour mentioned a meeting with members of the <br />CouncII regarding the duplication of services of the cit <br />those services could be consolidated. He noted that this Council <br />seems receptive to the idea of seeking out adjacent municipalities <br />to conso'idate services to eliminate the duplication, and suggested <br />Moorse review the Issue. <br />Goetten indicated that the Long Lake Council members commended the <br />Police Department. <br />C) Mayor Peterson noted that Orono will be 'ne of the first <br />participants of the two tiered hockey system, and on behalf of the <br />Council wished the Orono hockey team success. <br />(*♦11) YEAR XVIII CDBG FUNDING <br />This Issue was removed from the agenda. <br />(*#12) APPOINTMENT OF ELECTION JUDGES - PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY - <br />RESOLUTION #3090 <br />It was moved by Jabbour, seconded by Goetten, to adopt Resolution <br />#3090 appointing election judges for the Presidential Primary <br />election to be held on April 7, 1992.
