He noted that <br />to also be a part of <br />the <br />this <br />Jabbour and Mayor Peterson volunteered <br />force. <br />to be a part of the task <br />(#12) LAKE USE COMMITTEE UPDATE <br />Moorse updated the Council on the upcoming Lake Use Committee <br />meeting to be held on March 5th and noted the memo provides an <br />update on the City’s authority and options for regulating marinas. <br />Goetten felt that incentives should be given to encourage marina <br />compliance to curtail possible litigation. <br />Callahan asked what <br />pay Ing the I I cense <br />was <br />ee. <br />involved with marina licensing other than <br />Qaffron noted marinas are required to comply with Section 5.42 of <br />the code, and reviews are done on all marinas applying for a <br />license. He stated a staff memo would be prepared for the meeting <br />of March 5th describing the oast and present compliance of all <br />marinas. Ho explained the code may need to be amended to allow the <br />Council the authority they wish In licensing marinas. <br />(#13) ENTRANCE SIGNS - NAVARRE BUSINESS DISTRICT <br />Moorse explained these are sketches of possible entrance signs to <br />the Navarre business district. <br />Mayor Peterson noted these signs are being proposed because of an <br />agreement between mtimbers of the County Road 15 Beautification <br />Comrnlttee. She noted the other cities have already complied with <br />that agreement. She felt the signs proposed were too large for <br />the residential areas along County Road 19 and suggested the <br />regular City sign for those areas. <br />i
