Sonnen noted when she sent the request for $1,000 she did <br />not have a break down of persons served by community, but it was <br />now available. The request was based on pa? c contributions, but <br />noted an increase in services to residents c<f Orono. <br />Callahan noted the inte'^tion of the motion was not to turn down the <br />requests but rather allow staff to review additional needs for <br />funding by such organizations. <br />Jabbour requested to know exactly what was spent on each <br />programs, and how the $1,000 request was figured out. <br />of the <br />Sonnen stated that HUO looks at all the money from Hennepin County <br />to make sure tnat 15% is used for services and the remainder for <br />other projects such as comprehensive planning for cities. <br />Goetten questioned the 15% limit to be spent on these services <br />Moorse noted the City could allocate more for <br />someone else would be required to spend less. <br />these services, but <br />Callahan suggested staff review the guidelines for allocation of <br />funds and Include a report for review at the next meeting. <br />Moorse indicated that the cities had an understanding to only spend <br />15% as that Is what the Federal government allows. <br />Dan Hessburg, Westonka Intervention, noted their budget is very <br />limited at approximately $11,700, and they service surrounding <br />communities. Westonka Intervention thought funding would be cut <br />for the upcoming year and therefore did not request an additional <br />amount. <br />(»2) CONSENT AGENDA <br />Jabbour added Item #5 to the consent agenda. <br />Callahan removed Item #11 from the agenda. <br />It was moved by Jabbour, seconded by Goetten, to <br />Consent Agenda.
