ORDINANCE NO. 291 <br /> CITY OF ORONO <br /> HENNEPIN COUNTY,MINNESOTA <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE IV, CHAPTER 34,ARTICLE III, <br /> SECTIONS 34-53 (c) and (d) AND 34-55 OF THE CITY CODE <br /> CONCERNING ALCOHOL OPERATIONS <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORONO ORDAINS: <br /> SECTION 1. Orono City Code Title IV, Chapter 34, Article III, Section 34 (c) and(d) <br /> are hereby amending by adding the underlined language and deleting the strilcethrough language <br /> as follows: <br /> (c) Closing. It is unlawful for any person, other than an on-sale licensee's bona fide employee <br /> actually engaged in the performance of his duties, to be on premises licensed under this <br /> chapter more than 30 minutes after the legal time for making licensed sales; however, this <br /> subsection shall not apply to licensees, employees of licensees and patrons on licensed <br /> premises for the sole purpose of preparing, serving or consuming food or beverages other <br /> than n r c mat liquor, wine or liquor alcoholic beverages. <br /> (d) Display. No person shall display any alcoholic beverage to the public in any manner in an <br /> on- or off-sale licensed operation during the hours in which consumption sale is not <br /> permitted. <br /> SECTION 2. Orono City Code Title IV, Chapter 34, Article III, Section 34-55 is <br /> hereby amending by adding the underlined language and deleting the strikethrough <br /> language as follows: <br /> It is unlawful for any person issued a license provided for in this article to permit <br /> upon licensed premises any nudity, obscene performance or continued use of obscenities <br /> by any agent, employee, patron or other person. An expression or perfotiiiance is obscene <br /> if it appeals to the prurient interest in sex and depicts or describes in a patently offensive <br /> manner sexual conduct and which, taken as a whole, does not have serious literary, <br /> artistic, political, or scientific value. <br /> SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its <br /> passage and publication. <br /> ADOPTED this 26 day of February, 2024 by the City Council of the City of <br /> Orono, Minnesota. <br /> CITY OF ORONO <br />
