A certified letter was cent to Gayle wittig on May 11, 1990 <br />noting the results of the Aprix 25, 1990 nspection and <br />informing Mr. Wittig that a more detailed field survey would <br />be completed in order to determine appropriate restoration <br />measures. The DNR also requested a written explanation of the <br />April 1990 dredging activities from Mr. wittig. <br />Gayle wittig responded to the DNR letter of May 11, 1990 in a <br />May 21, 1990 letter. <br />12. On July 12, 1990 DNR survey crew members John Scherek and Lane <br />Moll, Area Hydrologist Ceil Strauss and Hydrologist Joe <br />Richter began a detailed field survey of the marina <br />Inclement weather prevented completion of the «aterward <br />portion of the survey and the crew postponed completing the <br />survey until winter conditions to allow for accurate location <br />of survey points and ease of access over the ice. <br />13. While on-site July 12, 1990, the DNR crew observed that nine <br />(9) large wooden piling channel markers nad been installed <br />along the east-west channel on the north side of the docks and <br />along the north-south channel.
