IMCILMBnNG <br />APR 2 6 1993 <br />OTYOFOMWO <br />/3. <br />A RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING <br />WESTONKA SENIOR CENTER WEEK <br />MAY3-7 <br />WHEREAS, we need to realize now, more than ever, what a resource our older <br />Americans are. and that the abilities of older Americans to invest our country with their <br />knowledge, creativity and experience caimot be denied; and <br />WHEREAS, senior centers offer valuable service to the conununity in providing <br />our senior citizens the benefits of good fellowship, encouragement and support, the opportunity <br />to help themselves and each other, and offering service of access to community services as <br />needed; arxl <br />WHEREAS, the month of May has been proclaimed Older Americans Month, <br />and communities across the country are giving special recognition to the role of senior centers; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Orono City Council, does hereby proclaim May 3rd <br />through May 7th as Westonka Senior Citizens 27th Anniversary Week in celebration of past <br />acomplishments and encouragement for continuaticn of involvement and contribution to our <br />Westonka Community. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Crono, Minnesota at a regular meeting <br />held April 26, 1993. <br />Edward J.
