Sec. 86-70. Permit expiration. <br />(a) Any building permit issued by the city abandoned, withdrawn, or expired shall be null and void and shall <br />require issuance of a new permit and payment of applicable fees prior to completion of the work. <br />(b) Every permit issued expires unless the work authorized by the permit is commenced within 180 days after its <br />issuance. Extensions may be granted by the Building Official. Permits become invalid if work is suspended or <br />abandoned for more than 180 days.
