Orono <br />Babcock asked for a discussion of conditions to <br />the Lake.side Marina Multiple Dock License to cover <br />storage issues. <br />Kascop suggested tightening the Code to control <br />storage. The executive director said the LMCD Code is <br />on in and out launching. At the same time the City of <br />addressing the land uses for its B-2 zoning areas, <br />zoning covers boats stored on land for in and out use. <br />of the cars and trailers associated with the launching as well as <br />parking as it relates to charter boats and parking for the normal <br />marina operation. Babccck said another av’enue of <br />approach to the problem would be enacting ordinances controlling <br />launching ramps. <br />The executive director said the existing stipulations on <br />Lakeside Marina governing iny use of in and out boat <br />storage/Iaunching should be sufficient. There has to be specific <br />documentation of Lakeside's boat storage. Then it is a matter of <br />monitoring it and determining what if any difficulties exist. <br />The committee received a letter from Charles LeFevere. LMCD <br />Counsel, dated 3/5/93. In his letter LeFevere responded to a <br />Board request for a list of conditions which might be imposed <br />upon a marina oper.ator. and which would facilitate etiforcemeni ol <br />the code provisions relating to off-lake storage by LMCD stall. <br />LeFevere noted the procedures to be followed when an application <br />for a multiple dock license* renewal is received. He also listed <br />certain conditions which could be imposed upon the licensee at <br />the time of renewal. <br />MOTION: Babcock moved.
