CITY OF ORONO <br />HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />ORDINANCE NO. 287 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE V, CHAPTER 46 OF THE CITY <br />CODE CONCERNING FIRE PROTECTION AND PREVENTION <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORONO ORDAINS: <br />SECTION 1. Orono City Code Title V, Chapter 46, Article II, Division 1, Section 46-31 <br />is amended by adding the underlined language and deleting the st'" hethr^"o language as <br />follows: <br />Sec. 46-31. Definitions. <br />The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, the fire <br />code or the fire marshal division alterations and amendments, shall have the <br />meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly <br />indicates a different meaning: <br />Building off cial means the person appointed by the council to administer <br />and enforce the state building code. <br />Fire Chief means the chief of the Orono fFire dDepartment <br />, or his authorized <br />representative. <br />Corporation counsel means the attorney for the city. <br />Fire marshal means the person appointed by the council to administer and <br />enforce the state fire code and who operates tinder the direction of the buiing <br />&Ffe a4Fire Chief. <br />Jurisdiction and municipality mean the city as a whole, and also that part <br />of the city corresponding to each separate fne service district. <br />SECTION 2. Orono City Code Title V, Chapter 46, Article II, Division 1, <br />Section. 46-32 is amended by adding the underlined language and deleting the <br />tfikethrou language as follows: <br />Sec. 46-32. Enforcement. <br />Authority for enforcement of this article is granted to and may be <br />chief or the chief s representatives. The fire chief may detail such members of the <br />
